Borsao Zarihs – Old Vine Shiraz

This exceptional expression of Syrah thrives in the foothills of the Moncayo region. Situated at an elevation ranging from 350 to 600 metres above sea level, the vineyard benefits from limestone soil, which imparts a delightful acidity to the Syrah.

During the winemaking process, the grapes undergo maceration for a period of 4-5 days, followed by a total fermentation period of 15-20 days in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks. Subsequently, the wine is aged for 12 months in new American oak barrels.

The wine’s appearance is characterized by an opaque red to black hue, accentuated by a crimson rim. On the nose, this remarkable wine reveals intense aromas of blackberries, accompanied by subtle hints of smoked wood and vanilla. With time, the bouquet unfolds to showcase notes of dark chocolate.

Upon tasting, the initial impact is remarkably full-bodied, boasting a velvety soft structure. The palate is dominated by flavours of dark berries, particularly blackberries, complemented by nuances of dried plums and a touch of espresso coffee.
